This is a review. We originally intended to submit it to CR, CSR or AM. It was submitted to CR at the beginning of May 2020, but it was a tragedy 5 days later. Then we tried AM afterwards, and it was recommended to transfer to AS after 6 days. Affected by the epidemic, after looking at the impact factors of AS, we decided not to toss again and again. After reviewing the manuscript for nearly 2 months, comments returned, and the four reviewers agreed to accept it after the revision. It was carefully revised during the summer vacation. The revised manuscript was submitted at the end of July, and it was delayed for another one and a half months before it was accepted in mid-September. It's too, too slow! ! ! ! After that, I waited for a long time. There was no email notification for paying. I kept sending emails during the period and no one responded. It wasn't until mid-October that the editor began to process it after we madly sent the email inquiries. After discussing with the boss, we paid the fee it was online in early November. It took half a year from submission to acceptance, and it was really exhausting. It was not easy to write a review. There were nearly 20 data graphs and nearly 15,000 words, and it took a long time for handling the copyright agreement. Actually, I wanted to try CSR and MT at the beginning. The boss felt that it was impossible to publish in CR, and CSR was also difficult and he didn’t allow me to submit. We didn't like journals in Elsevier either, so I transferred it to AS. Forget it, unless for special circumstances or in order to complete the task of publishing articles, I will never submit to this journal again. Although the boss doesn't care the 4,500 dollars, it did take a very long time!!!! It was annoying to be delayed for another month before it was online after acceptance!!!

It is a high-level academic journal, requiring high innovation and completeness of research, and it is not easy to be sent for review. Fortunately, an article of mine on the intersection of medicine and computer was accepted, and now I shared the experience of submission for your reference. I read a lot of irrational comments about this journal, so I’d like to share my experience. I work on tumor-targeted nano-drugs. I submitted my paper to AS last December. At that time, its IF was only 9. Less than a month after the submission, it was rejected with external review. I was a little sad, so I started following this journal. My paper was later submitted to Nanoscale; the first round of review suggested minor revision, and it was soon received. Now look at AS, the IF has gone up. Wiley must be trying to make this a high-end OA multidisciplinary journal. AS now doesn’t publish that many papers per year, this is must be because the journal deliberately controls it. People I know who have submitted here say that the review is getting more and more rigorous. The IF should continue to rise. AS has great potential in the future.
