The following is my submission process, share it for your reference: 2020-8-25: submitted to journal; 2020-8-25: initial assessment, with editor; 2020-8-28: in peer review; 2020-9-16: major revision (two reviewers, five minor comments in total); 2020-9-21: revision submitted to journal; 2020-9-21: accept. I submitted to Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology once before the pandemic, it also took about one month in total before the acceptance. The efficiency of the editorial department is really high. I wish Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology will be better and better.

Share a rejection experience: on December 14 I submitted the manuscript and with editor continued from 16th to December 26 when it was rejected. The review speed of JMCC was the second dilatoriest I encountered among a total of about 50 submissions (the other was IOP’s New J. Phy., where the manuscript was rejected nearly 20 days later without sending for review). First of all, I approve of JMCC (otherwise, I wouldn’t submit), but I have a complaint against Spanish editor Luis Hueso that the reasons for rejection were obviously the same, it can be very fast and why did he have to delay it for so long? I previously submitted manuscripts to many journals, such as ACS Photonics and Nanoscale which is from the same publisher, they were rejected without sending for review within three or four days, hardly affecting transfers. This editor was really disgusting. The editor was disgusting. He had to delay for such long time and gave you a common reason for rejection. I hope you don't encounter this disgusting editor when you submit papers to JMCC.

This journal is very fast and cost-effective! Submitted on June 12, 2015, signed a copyright transfer on the 13th, and it was assigned to editor Dr Emma Stephen. On July 5, 2015, the first reviewer comments were returned, both reviewers requested major revision, and the editor gave us six weeks. Submitted the revised version on July 20, 2015; accepted on August 4, 2015. A total of 52 days, and it was a pleasant experience. I was quite confident about this paper. It was novel and the data were comprehensive. I thought of submitting to AFM or Nanoscale, but then I hoped to publish it soon so I submitted to JMCC. Although there were only two reviewers, they were very professional. The latest IF is 4.696, and this is a top journal in Q1. Next year the IF may reach 5.5 or close to 6. I hope JMCC gets better!
