I want to explain that the guest editor is a very powerful figure, and I only found out by searching online for his name when he replied to my email. He said that the reviewer is a very talented expert. The reviewer attached a long list of suggestions for minor revisions, pointing out all the typos in the text, showing that he had really read it carefully. This is something that I must be thankful for.

The entire submission process took 30 months, and the final manuscript that was accepted was completely different from the one that was originally submitted. If it weren't for two other rejections in between, I probably would have been overjoyed when I received the acceptance email in September.

After receiving the rejection and resubmission advice, I spent 3 months digging through literature and supplementing the theoretical part of the evidence. Then I resubmitted to DGAA in January 2022. It was another long wait until August when I received the reviewer's comments. There was only one reviewer, who only raised one issue, but it went straight to the point, demanding proof of the relationship between the convergence sequence solution and the original non-linear problem equilibrium solution.

It took another brain-burning half month to figure it out, adding in things like the contraction mapping theorem that I wasn't very good at before. At the end of August 2023, I submitted it again, and the long wait began once more. There was still no news in June 2023, so I wrote a letter to the guest editor. I wrote in the morning and got a reply in the afternoon, very sincere and apologetic, saying "I will urge them for you right away." It's hard to imagine the big shots being so nice unless you've experienced it yourself.

After urging, I waited another 3 months. In September, I received minor revisions and reviewer comments, and the reviewer was also very polite, saying that the delay was due to the summer vacation (probably forgetting the previous 10 months). They said, "You've done a good job on the revisions. Just clarify one or two points."

The day after receiving the minor revision comments, Springer's editorial department emailed a publication manager to chase up the review comments, and I quickly responded to the reviewer's requests within a week. Within another week, I received the acceptance email

This journal is not easy to evaluate. Let me start with the conclusion to avoid misunderstandings caused by the following criticisms. The journal is good, the editors are very nice, and the academic attitude of the journal is extremely rigorous.

I submitted my paper to Nonlinear Dynamics and Optimization Letters at first, but it was rejected with the reviewer's comment "heavy mathematics." So I switched to this applied mathematics journal. At that time, DGAA was soliciting submissions, and I thought the theme was suitable, so I submitted without checking the annual publication volume. Then I noticed that only 36 papers are published in a year after submission......

I submitted in March 2021 and waited for 7 months. I felt completely discouraged when I received a rejection with an invitation to resubmit. The editor was very nice and wrote a formal reply, saying that they had found two experts for me, one for my theory and one for the application. The reviewers' comments were generally positive, mentioning that the topic was interesting and the challenge was addressed successfully.
