Sorry, I can't help but come here to complain about this journal. The review is really too slow. It took 3 months for the first review. I can’t wait to call the managing editor. The managing editor said that the review is over, but they must show it to the editor-in-chief. At that time, the system status was Awaiting reviewer. I don’t know if it’s wrongly spelt. Then the managing editor told me that the Section Editor-in-Chief hadn’t review it yet, and I may need to wait because he was very busy. After less than a second, the managing editor said, “Forget it. I’ll send you the comments. You can make the revisions first”. And then I started revising immediately. By the way, they let me make a major revision. After revising for less than 20 days, I quickly submitted it. Then I start waiting for the second review. It was sent to one of the reviewers of the first review. I waited and waited… After more than three months, it hadn't got reviewed yet. I just wanted to say, come on, will you hurry up? Now it can be considered as the end of the review, and it had been handling by the Section Editor-in-Chief. It has been held there for almost two weeks but no news yet. The impact factor of this journal is only less than 1. How can it be that a year was needed for reviewing the manuscript? I would not be surprised if it was closed. I just wish this rubbish journal be closed down soon, and I will never submit to it again. Suggest everyone not to submit.

Submitted in mid-May, got the decision of major revision after a little more than a month. The second round of review was done by a different reviewer for rereview, and the comments were much fewer than the first round. Then I was asked to do minor revisions. Accepted in early November, and officially published in April the next year. Some delay during the revision stage was due to my own reasons, and the status of editor final decision lasted for more than a month. This is the first time I submit to an SCI journal. I feel as long as the topic fits the scope of the journal, it’s not so difficult. The big drawback is that this journal recommends a language editing company. I think their editing wasn’t that good, so after I got their edited paper back, I had to selectively accept their changes.
