Recently, probably because the journal has a new open access sub-journal called "WFUMB Ultrasound Open," many manuscripts are being rejected by the editors without much consideration and authors are being recommended to transfer their submissions.

The opinions of both reviewers were quite reasonable. Reviewer 1 suggested reducing the length of the introduction section and adding more information to the discussion section; Reviewer 2 explicitly stated, "Overall, the paper is well written with good clarity, but several minor comments need to be addressed." and provided a few minor revisions. However, the editor ultimately rejected the paper, ignoring the reviewers' opinions.

Additionally, a junior in the lab's work was accepted by "Computer in Biology and Medicine," but due to it being put on hold by CBM, the author withdrew the manuscript. In order to graduate, the author tried to submit it to UMB, but it was rejected by the editor without external review and was recommended to transfer to WFUMB Ultrasound Open

Conditional acceptance after revisions. The speed and quality of the journal are both good. UMB is a well-established ultrasound journal with a certain level of recognition. In recent years, there have been fewer submissions in the field of ultrasound, with resources relatively concentrated. It feels like nobody is submitting, but in reality, it is quite challenging for doctors to submit to UMB rather than MDPI journals, and those who are good enough for UMB are aiming for even better journals.
