The editor-in-chief is British, unfriendly to researchers from developing countries, and very arrogant. The Chinese editors in the editorial office basically have no authority to handle submissions, and senior editors like Sabine have left around 2018, making the review process now chaotic and with very low timeliness

Conducting drug-resistant tuberculosis surveillance took four months for the first round of review, with two reviewers assigned every two weeks until two and a half months later, when two reviewers finally accepted the review. After accepting the review, there was no progress for a month. After three reminders, the editor-in-chief became very impatient and was about to withdraw the submission when the manuscript was finally reviewed. After minor revisions, the manuscript was quickly resubmitted, but it took almost a month for the editor to respond, claiming to be on vacation. After the vacation, the manuscript was sent for external review, which took another four months. This journal is really not recommended for submission

Submitted on December 2, 2021, sent for review on December 5, received first review comments in about two weeks, the expert opinions were pertinent and professional, received major revisions 
Uploaded revised manuscript on January 25, 2022, due to being busy with my master's thesis experiment 
Received second review comments on February 10, 2022, minor revisions requested 
Uploaded revised manuscript on February 19, 2022 
Received acceptance notice on February 24, 2022 
Overall, the review process was very efficient, it would have been even faster if I had not delayed it myself. The experts were very professional, and the editors were very friendly, for those working on tuberculosis, I recommend giving it a try
