Mid-July: I'm not sure if the editor was constantly pushing or for some other reason, the second round of the new reviewer I found suddenly accepted the review invitation, and that was it after clicking accept. After a few days of waiting, the editor sent the official notice of acceptance.

Overall, the speed of handling manuscripts for this journal is not fast (mine is a case in point, but looking at the speed of their other manuscripts, it is also quite average), but what makes us feel unhappy is the inefficiency of the editorial team in handling things

This journal was submitted at the end of July 22, accepted at the end of July 23, taking one year. Here is a rough timeline:

End of July: Submitted, with editor.

End of October: Under review (2 reviewers).

Middle of November: First round of review completed, 2 major revisions.

End of November: Re-submitted, with editor, then sent back to the original 2 reviewers.

Middle of January: Still under review, one reviewer completed the second round of review quickly (accepted), the other reviewer never accepted the invitation for the second round. We emailed the editor and were told to wait.

Middle of February: Still under review, the other reviewer still did not accept the invitation. Emailed editor again, editor promised to find another reviewer, a few days later the manuscript was sent to a new reviewer.

Early March: Second round results, 1 accepted, 1 major revision.

End of March: Submitted after major revision, under review again.

End of May: Still under review, the second reviewer selected for the second round disappeared and never accepted the invitation. Emailed editor again, and were told to wait
