I have been following this journal for a while. In 2017, a senior male fellow submitted one manuscript and was accepted. In 2019, the publication speed seems to be much faster. It took about 3 and a half months from submission to acceptance for a teacher I knew. My junior male fellow’s submission was under review and then it was rejected immediately, indicating that the review speed was indeed much faster. Although the impact factor is not high and it still ranked in Q3, it is indeed a relatively good old-brand journal, which is worth submitting.

It is relatively good in fishery product journals, belong to the middle and upper reaches, and paper quality is guaranteed. The review speed is a bit slow.

I first submitted it in September 2018, and it was returned due to format issues. I resubmitted it in November 2018 after revision. I was required to make a minor revision in January 2019. I resubmitted it in March after revision, and then I was informed of acceptance. I am waiting for it to be published. There were several problems in the submission, which were resolved quickly. Overall, I fell the editor is very serious and the feedback is very timely.

This journal should be among the easiest of journals to be published in for researchers in the aquaculture industry. Unfortunately, they often only have two reviewers per paper. As a result, if you get one reviewer who recommends “accept” and the other recommends “rejection”, your paper is rejected.
