I started submitting in August 2019, it was accepted in early April, and now it is not online on May 26. What else can I say? If it weren't for it being a Q2 journal, no one would really submit to it. This speed was terribly slow, and it takes at least 3–4 months for being assigned journal issue numbers after online, which seriously affects myself sending resume and getting job interview. So I will never submit to it again, never.

It was considered to be a middle- and upper-level journal in the field of aquatic. My friends and myself have submitted articles to it. In general, the review is quite slow. If you are anxious to graduate, be cautious. It can not be less than 6 months from submission to acceptance. A senior male fellow apprentice submitted an article here, and it took almost a year; A junior fellow apprentice submitted two, and they were still in the second review after 7 months; I submitted one, and it was in the first review after 2 months. But I was still optimistic with this journal. Being so strict, it is quite pity not ranking in Q2.

I recommend submitting to this journal. Although there are many journals that publish articles on aquatic nutrition, this is one of the better ones. They are strict about language in this journal, so proofread your article carefully prior to submission.

After being acquired by Weily, the journal requires a lot of supplementary materials to be provided within a month of submission, before the peer review process begins.

Those in a hurry to graduate are not advised to submit, as the first review takes 2 months for major revisions; going back for rework takes 2 months for minor revisions; and going back again for rework with no progress for 2 months. Waiting for a total of 8 months in vain, speechless
