The impact factor of 2011 is about 4.  It is presently decreasing but it is still very high.  The journal is second only to PAMI in the field of image processing and pattern recognition. It is a very powerful journal!

The classification of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is extremely unreasonable. Theoretical journals in applied mathematics should not be grouped together with engineering journals.
