What I do is about recycling of waste polymers. It was submitted to CST before, and after revision submitted, one of the reviewers insisted that waste utilization is spreading the waste pollution, and rejected it. Then it was submitted to PC. The first review lasted for 40 days, and another 40 days after the revision submitted (with Christmas in the middle). It was still very fast. The reviewer’s comments are quite professional. They should be small peers. The questions were quite detailed. 22-Oct-2019, submission; 01-Dec-2019, review comments received; major revisions required (reviewers all required minor revisions); 08-Dec-2019, revised resubmission; 19-Jan-2020, accepted. I was anxious about one month after it was resubmitted, thinking that it would be nice if being accepted before the winter vacation, so I urged the manuscript. I reminded it once in the system. No one responded to me. Then I sent an email to the editor, but never got any response. Then I logged into the system yesterday and saw it was accepted. The email said that the publication cycle is about 5 months, which is much shorter than that shared previously by netizens. It is not that dramatic. I think they should intend to extend the time during the review and revision, and maintain it at about 40 days. But under normal circumstances, it’s basically no problem to be three months in total.

It is still “assign for review” after a month, and I got a reply after asking for progress as “With regards to your status inquiry, I find we are still awaiting remarks from invited reviewers. I have notified the assigned editor of your inquiry. We thank you for your patience and understanding during the peer review process.” Does that mean it was being reviewed or they are still looking for reviewers? Isn’t it “under review” when it was reviewed by reviewer?

I feel this journal is pretty efficient and the standards for submission are pretty high. The review process lasted about two weeks; best of luck to potential authors; hope your experience is as good as mine with this journal.

Only during the first and second revision stages do I need to upload images and forms separately. Just add them to the system on top of the original embedded content.
