It took 6 months for the first review, and a week after the minor revision, it was accepted. I don’t know where was this article in the past 6 months (and what has done during that period). After two years of postgraduate study, I have 5 “valueless” articles accepted. I am the second author in one article, and as first author in all other articles. One article was accepted by a journal in Q2, and the rest were accepted by top journals in Q1, and there are several articles which were under review. I'm going to study in third year, but I'm getting tired of scientific research. My family let me study Ph.D, but I'm afraid I'm getting tired of studying. Depending on what I learned, I don't know what to look for when I go out to work, and the salary will not be high either. I am confused. As for taking the civil service exam, someone has told me that the SCI articles are not as useful as the articles published in Chinese core journals. It really sucks.

First review lasted for one month, and under editor evaluation lasted for nearly one month. I received notification of major revisions. Two reviewers, a total of nearly 40 comments. Since this was the first SCI paper, there were many small problems, and the experts pointed them out. I feel that the OE experts were very detailed and their opinions were very professional. I carefully revised it for more than a month and wrote a response letter of more than 20 pages. I learned a lot from it, laying a good foundation for the papers I submitted in the future. After the revised submission, the second review lasted for nearly 9 months. I thought that something went wrong, or the answer did not satisfy the experts, but I finally received a notification of direct acceptance. Overall, the level of OE reviewers I met was really high, but the review cycle was a bit torture...

Generally speaking, it went smoothly, the reviewers were also very high-level, and they were more or less merciful.

One reviewer directly rejected, while the other gave very positive feedback. The person who rejected didn't even finish reading my article, very irresponsible, and kept talking to himself. 

If I have original numerical methods, why would I submit to OE? I should submit to JCP or JFM. It's really speechless. According to your theory, the articles on OE are not innovative at all. Are you exceptionally talented or did the editor overlook it? 

Surely, it must be that your talent is underappreciated, and reviewing my article has underestimated your abilities! 

It is speculated that someone volunteered to help OE reduce the number of publications after seeing that the Chinese Academy of Sciences' ranking has dropped. Thank you so much for that!

Revise and resubmit the article, including more references to articles in a similar direction to OE. Also, incorporate those articles into the cover letter and mention it to the editor. I did the same thing before, initially focusing on showcasing methods to appear more computer-oriented in the title and abstract. Later, changing the title and abstract to focus more on marine engineering applications got my article accepted, although it could also be due to having a different editor.
