Review speed: 12.0 Experience sharing: The era of being able to get NG just by sequencing is over, and just relying on statistical numbers is not enough to get NG. The final analysis must return to the essence of biology, and there must be two or more analytical highlights to have a chance. Moreover, the overall difficulty of NG is increasing, and the review period is getting longer. I wrote my second NG in three years this year. I'm done, too tired, saying goodbye to NG for life. Finally, one last thing, genomics is not just done by BGI. I'm not BGI, but I've already completed two. If there's a third one next year, I definitely won't submit it for NG, I'll go to NC. Honestly, now it's too difficult to have a high chance of publishing a paper just by sequencing alone.
