After a major revision was submitted, of the original reviewers, one was satisfied, but one didn’t respond, then the editor found a new reviewer. The new reviewer gave a good dressing down, leading to rejection. Moreover, rejection didn’t matter, but in fact, system showed that the second review opinions came back on April 15th, 2019, and it took 3 months for the editor to reject it. God bless me. Although it is a top landscape ecology journal (but only a high-level journal in the entire ecology category, which is far worse than journals like Ecology), I will never submit to this publication in the future. There are many choices and it is not the only one. I wish IF will linger between 3 and 4 and the service is terrible!
