Experience sharing: I submitted an article last year, about innovative inventions in anesthesia. It took 2 months for the review, and each of the two reviewers provided 7 or 8 comments. The article was categorized as tier 1 (out of 3 tiers: 123, 456, 789) with very positive feedback. However, the first reviewer did not send it to a statistical expert, which was the biggest pitfall. After spending a month revising and resubmitting it for statistical review, it was rejected immediately due to fatal flaws in the methodology. This was a waste of 3 months. Therefore, those considering submitting to this journal should pay special attention to rigorous methodologies and correct statistical methods, as the standards are very high

Experience sharing: The submission experience with this journal was extremely painful. A submission was rejected after major revisions, but the reviewers' comments were very constructive. The most crucial point is that they have specialized statistical reviewers who have strict requirements for statistical issues. The editor assigned to me is also an expert in statistics. After being rejected, I revised the submission according to the reviewers' comments and resubmitted it. With 2 rounds of minor revisions, there were almost always statistical issues pointed out, but fortunately they were all resolved in the end. The second submission coincided with Christmas and New Year, but the efficiency of the other party was still very high. I submitted at the end of November, had 2 rounds of minor revisions, and received acceptance in early February. Overall, both the reviewers and the editor are very professional and kind!
