The long-established journal of the American Meteorological Society has a high reputation within the American academic community. The difficulty of submission is relatively high, with very professional reviewers and average review speed. If encountering senior experts, they may have very strict requirements for the articles. Despite its impact factor not being high, it is consistently ranked in the 3rd tier by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, but this does not necessarily reflect the academic level of the journal. In terms of cost-effectiveness, it is not recommended for scholars under strict assessment pressure to submit to this journal; however, if one wishes to expand their academic influence in the United States, it is strongly recommended to submit to this journal.
