This is an older journal that has been established for quite some time. The cover has been dark green for nearly 20 years. In my time, I have had quite a few experiences of papers being accepted as well as rejected for publication in this journal. There are several in-house editors, or at least there was a few years back. The reviewers are decided by the resident editor. The first round of reviewers and decisions is very difficult. When I was a resident editor years ago, I encountered a problem related to Reviewer Ethics. In brief, a reviewer directly addressed an editor’s decision, and the resident editor refused to change their opinion. In recent years, the preference is given innovative large-project papers. As a result, the impact factor has become lower, and there are occasional editorial problems.
