Personal experience indicates that this journal is not that good. The first time is the end of 2018, paying $100 submission review fee. after three days editor told us to use language editing service, so we used JAS writing service, cost $450, after a month and a half, return to the review system, ask for another $100 review fee to submit for review, and then return after one month. There was only one reviewer, and the comments made by the reviewers were OK, but the decision was rejection....it was entirely possible to give supplementary data or explanations to address reviewer comments.  Not recommended.

Too slow, think twice before submitting. And submitting is very troublesome, the format requirements are outrageous. I consulted three non-experts, asked a lot of questions, don't even understand the basic concepts of genomics. Only introduced related concepts and analysis reasons and wrote 9 pages. After 4 rounds of review, plus two formatting revisions. So confusing, I even thought I was submitting to NC!

Submitted at the end of September in 23, four months for the first review, submitted again after major revisions for 20 days, and accepted directly by the end of February in 24. It's a very good journal, established for a long time, very formal. Although it dropped from the second zone TOP to the second zone, the impact is not significant and the second zone status can still be maintained

Submit within a week, and the editor will assign a reviewer to review it. It takes a month to receive major revisions, and then minor revisions are made. The reviewers are very professional. From submission to acceptance, it takes a total of three months, which is considered relatively fast.
