I had submitted two meta-analyses before, but they were rejected. Then I wrote a clinical research paper and submitted it on August 26. Two weeks later, I was asked to make major revisions based on the external reviewer's comments. After making the revisions, it took about a month to be accepted. From submission to acceptance took less than 2 months, and the online publication was also quite fast. The efficiency was high, and it was a self-selected open access journal, so I saved on publication fees. The only issue is that the impact factor is relatively low.

A very unpleasant submission experience, with minor revisions requested one month after submission. The reviewer suggested acceptance, but the editor provided a few minor comments. To be cautious, I did a lot of literature research and carefully revised the article. The day after submitting the revisions, the submission was directly rejected, citing poor article quality and failure to meet the initial review standards, and suggesting submission to a specialized journal in spinal surgery! I was so angry that I filed an appeal that same night, sending three appeal letters within a week, but did not receive any response!
