It lasted for two and a half months (75 days) in total. Generally speaking, it is relatively lucky. As long as there are enough innovations, thorough content analysis, and correct response to reviewers, it can generally be quick. As for the difficulty, it’s not easy to evaluate, because I’m just a master and an academic novice, and it was just my second article. I’m not qualified to say it’s difficult or easy, which can easily be misleading. I personally felt it is moderate. If you think your article is OK, you can try it. After all, I didn't think I could make it at first, and my boss asked me to submit. My personal submission experience is as follows: 26 Oct 2018 Completed; 04 May 2020 Accept. The total duration is about 19 months. The first review comments were returned after about 4 months, which is basically the same as IEEE Trans. First a major revision was required (with three reviewers), then a minor revision, and then a major revision (because of a new reviewer was added suddenly), and then a minor revision was required (an additional reviewer was added). Fortunately, this additional reviewer agreed to accept it. The editor-in-chief newly required the language to be improved. After careful polished, it was returned and got accepted in two days Whether the journal is good or not, it is an important reference that who the editor-in-chief is! The editor in chief is responsible for checking the quality of papers! Witold Pedrycz, editor-in-chief of Information Sciences is a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, a member of the Royal Academy of Canada, IFSA Fellow, and IEEE Fellow. In comparison, Sven Dickinson, editor-in-chief of IEEE TPAMI is IAPR Fellow. Haibo He, editor-in-chief of IEEE TNNLS is an IEEE Fellow. It can be seen that the editor-in-chief of Information Science is not bad at all.
