After accumulating for a long time and enriching a lot of work, I made a sprint towards my dream journal JSAC. Hello experts, this is my first time submitting to this journal. I submitted to the call for papers of the journal and have received some feedback. The feedback does not explicitly indicate rejection. The submission system shows "The rebuttal can be edited until Jun 16." However, in the rebuttal interface, there is only one text box with a prompt saying "Your rebuttal can be up to 5000 characters long. Rebuttal (uses MarkDown format)." There is nowhere to upload the paper. Does this mean my submission has been rejected?

Although I am in computer architecture, I will also try JSAC. Overall, I never thought about publishing, but if I do get a revise, then I can also show off a few years. The group has published two JSAC papers. Generally speaking, the difficulty is there, but personally I feel that compared to getting accepted by SIGCOMM with A in it, JSAC is not as meaningful. Currently, a paper in SIGCOMM should be able to get a teaching position in many 985 universities. However, if you only have one JSAC paper, most 211 teaching positions should still be obtainable. If you can't get it, it's either because there really are no more positions in the school, or the school is of a lower level and can't understand it. If you have a paper in JSAC and a few other papers, it seems that it is also possible to get a teaching position in a 985 university

Please give me a chance to revise this, this is truly the top 1 journal acknowledged by the industry. For ordinary researchers like me, the difficulty of JSAC and SIGCOMM is the same, both are unattainable. After all, other A-level conferences, such as TMC, tpds, also require great effort and luck. JSAC is the fifth time I submitted, from the Ph.D. to Associate Professor, but I have never been accepted, while other A-level journals have accepted five or six papers. It's really hard to compare the strength between JSAC and the top conferences like SIGCOMM and MobiCom, but these three are definitely more difficult than TMC, INFOCOM, TPDS. However, when it comes to the evaluation of performance achievements in China, A-level journals are generally considered at the same level, even within the 211 Project, where A-level journals are treated on par with journals in the Chinese Academy of Sciences Zone 1, so it's not a big problem if I'm not accepted, and there are other options after graduation

I recently submitted a paper, one of the reviewers had negative comments, and then it was rejected. I did both my master's and PhD at UBC, and there is no CCF system overseas. However, in the overseas networking/communications community, JSAC is indeed the top 1 magazine. In fact, there is a high overlap between computer networks and architecture, and our group also often submits to top architecture journals, such as TPDS and TC, but JSAC currently has only one paper. I can only say that JSAC will have to become an obsession for the rest of my life, haha~

My research is at the intersection of networking and system architecture. I have submitted many papers to JSAC over the past few years, all of which have been rejected. However, after being rejected by JSAC, I resubmitted to TPDS and TMC and they were both accepted. I recently submitted another paper and I hope for good luck. In my circle, JSAC is really a top-tier journal, much more difficult and prestigious than TPDS and TMC. It is definitely in a league of its own in terms of difficulty and recognition

In the field of computer networks/communications, from my circle's knowledge, JSAC should be the top journal, followed by TON, TPDS≈TC≈TMC. In regards to JSAC, basically having a paper published there means entering the top tier circle. JSAC is more valuable than conferences like INFOCOM
