It was a frustrating submission experience, with the entire peer review process not going according to plan. Each stage was incredibly slow, and I had to send dozens of emails to the editor-in-chief to push things along. After replacing a Chinese guest editor who was not responding to emails, the editor-in-chief took over and things improved significantly. Despite the challenges, the paper was eventually accepted. In a year where the impact factors of comsoc, sps, and itsoc have decreased, it's great to see this journal's impact factor increase so much. Hopefully, by the end of the year, it will once again be ranked as a top journal in the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
