Compared with Journal of Lightwave Technology, the content integrity must be within the scope of the issue. The number of articles published is too small. It took two months for the first review, and major revision was required (actually a minor revision, 3 reviewers and the comments were positive). One week after the submission of the revised manuscript, it was accepted. The processing speed of the editor was fast. If the innovation is not good enough, it would be rejected at the beginning. It is recommended to submit with substantial content. There is little chance of being acceptance by irregular ways. What’s more, I have heard that there were some people who submitted to this journal. The rejection rate after being sent for review is also very high.

The reviewer was found only 2 months after submission, and the status changed from select reviewers to awaiting reviewer scores; another month later, review comments were received; both reviewers recommended accepting it with minor revisions; two weeks for revisions were given. Authors have to make corrections and formatting before submission, and the editorial and review process is extremely slow, making the time cost far exceed the value of the journal.
