It is a top journal in the ocean engineering industry. My manuscript has undergone one major revision and two minor revisions within 10 months. The response to the first review exceeded 18 pages. The 3 reviewers were very professional, and 2 of them were small peers. The questions they raised were sharp, and of course it helped improving the article a lot. If the article has high innovation and integrity, you can try it. If it is not innovative enough, it is generally not recommended.

This is the top international journal in the field of marine electronics technology. In recent years, it mainly publishes articles related to AUV navigation control technology. The degree of difficulty to publish is quite high, which is similar to IEEE TCST. The quality of the published articles is not much different from the new trends of AUV in IEEE TIE or TMECH, or it may be even higher. My dream is to be able to publish on independently.

It was really hard. The reviewers were very professional. 7 months after submission, the manuscript was revised for the first time. There were 4 reviewers, 42 comments, and we responded 15 pages to the review comments. And I thought that the reviewer was selected from the references, and were real small peers. It took 4 months for the second review. 3 reviewers’ comments were given, and 1 reviewer refused to give comments. I argued in my best, and replied 7 pages to the comments together with replying to the deputy editor. It was accepted after 1 month. It was really terrible. I suggest that those who are in a hurry to graduate and only on your own should think twice about it. It took actually a long time to review. Another paper of mine was accepted by OE, but the review comments were just returned in this journal.

The first review took 10 months and presented many extremely difficult questions to reply to, one of which seemed to be a canned response from an AI. I wrote over twenty pages in response, only to be dismissed with the final sentence "lack of innovation". During this time, I also helped review a paper, which was ultimately rejected in the second review. This journal is a well-established journal in the field, but the review process is quite slow. The first review usually takes about eight months, and the second review feedback takes about four months. The revisions also take around four months. I submitted twice, the first time was accepted after one round of revisions, and the second time was accepted after two rounds of revisions. It took me a year to get accepted the first time, and a year and a half the second time. However, the journal is highly regarded in the industry, with extremely diligent reviewers.
