Reviewed 2023-07-01 17:30:38 The efficiency of the journal is relatively high. After submission, it was reviewed by the editor on the same day, sent for review two days later, and received the review after 40 days. The opinions of the three reviewers were professional and detailed. They provided 28 days for major revisions, which were completed in about 20 days. After another 20 days, it was reviewed again and received only one comment. After making the necessary modifications, it was quickly accepted for publication. What is quite surprising is that it dropped from the first-tier to the second-tier directly, without even being considered as a top-tier journal. Its impact factor is lower than RSE but much higher than Remote Sensing. It is still a good journal to consider. Although it has been downgraded to the second tier by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In the upgraded version of 2022, only RSE, IRPRS, TGRS, and JAG are in the first tier. I can't understand why JAG became a first-tier journal when its quality is on par with this journal.
