This journal used to very good. Papers doing statistical methods if not good enough for The American Journal of Human Genetics will be submitted to this journal, but its quality recently started to go down. Changing the editor didn’t help. I submitted one, the reviewers gave 74 comments! 8 pages, even longer than the paper itself. Even though I answered every comment, the editor rejected it. After that, the journal has been going down. It seems that it has never come back up. Recently, the source of contributions has been worrying. I have reviewed manuscripts for them and feel the quality of the manuscripts is not that great.

Responding one by one, it was still rejected by the editor-in-chief. Afterwards, the magazine just kept going downhill and seems unlikely to recover. Even the source of submissions has become worrying. I have reviewed their submissions before, and the quality of the manuscripts is not good
