The speed is still quite fast. The time is London time. 20 days was given for the major revision. I almost did not finish the revision. I sent an email to apply for an extension, but maybe because of the Christmas holiday, I didn’t get a reply, so I revised and returned it. It was 15 hours later than the required December 26 0:00, but the editor didn't say anything. The revised manuscript was uploaded as PDF at the beginning, and the editor returned it and we then replaced it with editable Word file. 2020.01.14 online; 2020.01.12 accepted; 2020.01.03-2020.01.10 minor revision made; 2019.12.06-2019.12.26 major revision made; 2019.11.7 submission.

It was pretty fast, submitted for review within 5 days, minor revisions after a month and a half, 20 days for revisions, and accepted upon return.

The efficiency is very high, basically rejected in three to four days after submission. It took ten submissions to be sent for review once. I feel that Food Control is still a relatively difficult journal to get into.
