The special issue "Recent Advances in Bioinspired Robot and Intelligent Systems" aims to showcase the latest developments in bio-inspired design methods for robots, and to explore novel design principles, materials, control systems, and optimization techniques inspired by biological systems. Scholars are welcome to submit original research articles and review articles to this special issue, and the research areas may include but are not limited to the following topics:
- Bio-inspired design principles and methods for robots
- Optimization design of bio-inspired sensors, actuators, and control systems
- Bio-inspired materials and structures for soft robots
- Evolutionary algorithms and swarm intelligence for robot optimization
- Bio-inspired locomotion and manipulation strategies
- Bio-hybrid systems and bio-inspired human-machine interaction

The speed of the paper review can be said to be surprisingly fast. Due to the fact that it is a review article, the requirements for image copyright are quite strict, and time was spent on applying for copyright. However, it was the time for me to apply for copyright, not due to the journal.

In addition, both Editor Dolly Liu and Ms. Yaqiong Guo were very good and responsible, and the feedback was also timely. Furthermore, the editor provided excellent guidance and suggestions for the paper, which was really helpful!

Hopefully, the journal's impact factor will continue to rise, aiming for a position in the 2nd quartile this year!
