Almost all freely contributed submissions that meet the academic standards for publication after review require revisions by the authors to their wording and formatting before publication, such as shortening the length of the article, redesigning tables, improving the quality of illustrations, and restricting the use of irregular abbreviations. However, submissions that are returned to authors for revisions do not indicate acceptance of the article, as the final decision of acceptance depends on whether the modifications to the critical content and wording of the article meet the requirements of the reviewers and editors. 

The materials usually returned to authors for revisions include the original manuscript, reviewers' comments, and a covering letter from the editor. Upon receiving the revised manuscript, authors should carefully read the covering letter and reviewers' comments, and then consider whether they are able or willing to accept the suggestions from the reviewers or editors and modify the manuscript accordingly. The likelihood of acceptance of the article can often be determined by the response from the editor and the amend suggestions from the reviewer. Revisions should not be rushed, and authors should carefully read and understand the questions raised by the reviewers. Each comment from the reviewers should be addressed separately, the specific changes made in the revised manuscript should be clearly indicated (page, lines), and a thank you letter to the editor should be provided, acknowledging the suggestions for modifications made to the manuscript and indicating the reasons for not making certain changes
