Reviewed 2021-12-30 10:25:50 Research Purpose, Process, and Results: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of social media on teenagers' mental health. The study was conducted by analyzing data collected from surveys completed by high school students. The results showed a correlation between excessive social media use and feelings of anxiety and depression among teenagers. Discussion of Data Results: The data results from this study are in line with previous research findings that have also linked social media use to negative mental health outcomes. For example, Smith et al. (2018) found that increased time on social media platforms was associated with higher levels of loneliness and poor self-esteem among young adults. This supports the idea that there is a harmful aspect of social media use that can affect users' mental well-being. Evaluation and Discussion of Research Contribution and Significance: This study contributes to the existing body of research by providing further evidence of the negative impact of social media on teenagers' mental health. By highlighting this issue, it raises awareness among parents, educators, and policymakers about the need to address the potential risks associated with excessive social media use among adolescents. Future Research Directions: In future studies, it would be beneficial to explore potential interventions or strategies that could help mitigate the negative effects of social media on teenagers' mental health. Additionally, examining the role of peer influence and societal norms in shaping adolescents' social media behaviors could provide further insights into this complex issue ![]() ![]() |

Reviewed 2021-12-30 09:28:10 Contrary to the introduction, the discussion section is structured like an inverted pyramid, starting small and gradually expanding. It begins by analyzing the rationale behind each research result, examining any anomalies, and delving deeper into the underlying principles. After laying the groundwork, it naturally leads to a discussion of the main conclusions of the paper. Finally, further analysis is conducted to highlight the importance/relevance/applicability/utility of the research ![]() ![]() |
