It took 11 days for the first review, but it was still rejected. It was a good journal. There were 2 reviewers, one of them required major revision and the other one rejected it, and the editor rejected it. Both reviewers were very professional. The reviewer 1 was positive, who just requested me to supplement two experiments. The reviewer 2 was restrict, and I can’t understand the questions raised, which made me wonder if I am a student in my own field. Even if I was required to make major revision, I have no idea how to revise it. To put it bluntly, I am lacking in ability. As a master of ordinary university, it was really difficult to be on my own without advices of others. In memory of the eighth submission of my article. I chose (submitting to) DT. It was the first article written by myself. Actually, the second article has been accepted, so I didn't rely on this to graduate. I know that if the article was submitted to a journal with lower level, I might have started a new research direction. But as master of ordinary university, I am also positive. I will submit the next article to DT if I do better.

I submitted it on June 10; major revision was required on July 3; it was accepted on July 30. The speed was fast, and maintained the tradition of the Royal Society of Chemistry series. It should be 21 days for the reviewers for the first review and 14 days for the second review. The editor had very good rhythm. It took no more than two days in the editor’s hand for each step. The direction of the journal is inorganic chemistry, crystal chemistry, solid nanomaterials, organic-inorganic composite materials, and organic metals. It is a good place for some work on nanomaterial. The content published on it is very professional, the quality is high, and it has a great influence abroad. The impact factor is generally satisfactory. It is a weekly-published journal. The acceptance rate is about 30%. In view of international relations, the performance/cost ratio of the Dalton and Chemistry frontiers series journals has greatly increased. Domestic scholars are welcome to increase submissions and citations.

I submitted my master’s research to this journal. My research was focused on organic and inorganic hybrid materials and nanostructures, and at the time, was still relatively new. However, the editor told me that the research was too systematic and was not considered “eye-catching” in nature. Regardless, my article was accepted based on its novelty (thank you, reviewers!).
