Since there were not many clinical specimens, and it was a cross-study with proteomics, I later submitted two papers to journals with scores of five or six, with mixed reviews from the reviewers. After much back and forth, they were ultimately rejected. Feeling helpless, I then submitted to this journal. Three days after submission, I received a letter from the editor-in-chief, stating that the research was very appealing but deviated from the journal's focus, and requested that I include some flow cytometric analysis. I made some additions, addressed the reviewers' minor comments on language and reagent sources, and after half a month, it was accepted. The paper was quickly published online. Overall, I felt the journal and editors were friendly, and the submission process was not very difficult. I hope this journal continues to thrive and increase its impact factor
