The manuscript from the Chinese hospital was rejected by MDPI, so they have given up on the fantasy and will not take shortcuts anymore. Submitted on February 6th without knowing the editor, two references were found to be invalid after uploading, but it did not affect the submission. On February 10th, it was with the editor, and on February 12th, it was under review. So far, it seems relatively friendly, not necessarily supportive. Don't submit to trashy journals. They require technical review and a reply letter, but even after resubmission, they still reject. Received on May 5, 2024, submitted on April 30th, received an email on May 3rd stating that there were formatting issues and the initial review did not pass. Revised submission was made on May 5th.
Received an email on May 13th stating that reviewers agreed to review the paper, entering the "under review" stage.
Received first round of comments on June 9th, with feedback from 4 reviewers and approximately 20 questions. Revision requested by June 30th.
Submitted revised version on June 29th, but the status did not change.
Waited for nearly 2 months. Finally, on August 21st, the status changed to "under review".
The editorial process was quick from there, and the paper was accepted on August 29th.
