The submission is on the neuropathology of cerebrospinal fluid cells. The initial review is slow, taking about 3-4 months. After revision, there are 3 reviewers, the first 2 did not raise any issues. The third reviewer's comments are very strict, suggesting additional research that cannot be completed in a short period of time. The revision took 3 months (with a 1.5-month extension), followed by nearly 2 months for another review, and ultimately, the submission was rejected. There are many minor issues with the language of the article and the clarity of the images, but these are problems that can be resolved. It is difficult to accept that after about 8 months of review, the submission is rejected after one major revision. Subsequently, the score for this journal dropped drastically this year
