Experience sharing: Personally, I think the level of this journal is not low. The opinions of the two experts in the first review were not positive. They asked for more experiments and more discussions, which would have been minor revisions in other journals. However, the editor raised a very professional and critical issue, almost making me give up. I repeatedly analyzed the review comments, consulted many experts, patiently completed relevant experiments, carefully analyzed the data repeatedly, created statistical charts repeatedly, rewrote the introduction and discussion sections, and ended up rewriting almost the entire paper. Finally, I asked a paper editing company to revise the paper multiple times, applied for an extension once, and finally submitted it. I prayed for blessings every day afterwards. In less than a month, the article became "required reviews completed." And a week later, it was directly accepted. Tears of joy

Review speed: 2.0 | Submission hit rate: 5.0 Experience sharing: Submitted twice. The first submission was under the short communication section of BRS. Three days later, the editor quickly responded with a rejection, stating that it only described phenomena, without further explanation of the mechanism. I personally think it makes some sense, but if I continue to write about the mechanism, it will greatly exceed the word limit. So, I conducted experiments on the mechanism and submitted again. The editor accepted it after a week and sent it for review. However, after waiting for over a month and a half, it was rejected. There were three reviewers, one of whom had a positive opinion, stating that it was well done and rare to have comparisons of two methods inducing behavioral studies. The other two reviewers had negative opinions. One seemed to specialize in basic or clinical research, giving nearly 20 negative comments, while the other seemed unfamiliar with the field, having opinions that seemed irrelevant to me. In conclusion, I think the efficiency of this journal is relatively low. Additionally, I personally believe that the main reason for rejection was due to my poor English proficiency, causing readers to be unwilling to read, thus leading to misunderstandings on certain aspects. Furthermore, I realized that I chose the wrong section - I conducted experiments on behavior induced by stimulating the deep brain nuclei in rats, and I initially selected the deep brain stimulation section. In hindsight, the DBS section mainly focuses on clinical aspects, and I should have chosen the neuroscience section. The journal has high language requirements. Additionally, I strongly condemn the paper editing service under Ele's journal that I paid over 300 dollars for a 7-day edit, only to receive superficial changes like "the", "a", "respectively", etc. After submission, both reviewers pointed out numerous grammar errors, implying that I essentially wasted my money and time, receiving no actual improvements
