Share the submission process and by the way answer the questions of the students in previous posts. The article was rejected by MD, and nearly 40 questions were raised by 5 reviewers. The editor recommended us to transfer it to MTCOMM, and there was no need to send it for review if it was well revised. This is the third article in my master's degree. I will graduate in June. When I saw the name of Materials Today, I transferred it. Thinking about the IF will rise in the future, I regarded it as an investment for the future. After agreeing to transfer, the corresponding author’s mailbox will receive an email within 72 hours, where a link was provided and you can click in and submit your paper. Note that only the corresponding author can receive the email. I revised it for 20 days and then uploaded it to the system. I thought it would be accepted directly, and I didn’t expect it to be sent for review again. After with the executive editor for 2 days, it was assigned to the deputy editor, and it was sent for review after 1 day. 12 days later, the result was received. It was sent to the previous reviewers from MD. One agreed to accept it, and the other one asked a lot of questions. It was so speechless. It’s not MD, but why is it so strict? We had no choice but continue to revise, then submitted the revision after 18 days. It was re-sent for review on the same day, and we received the results 12 days later. There were only a few minor issues, we revised it for 2 days and submitted it, and it was accepted 9 minutes after submission... I was surprised... Was the editor 24h online? It was so fast... Generally speaking, the review speed is very fast, and the deadline for reviewers is 12 days. It is recommended that if you have extra articles in your hand, you can try it. I feel that as it is with Materials Today, the IF will rise. In addition: The manuscript can not be submitted to this journal directly, but can only be transferred to.
