Therefore, the time given for revisions is relatively short (this article was given 7 days for major revisions, and an extension can be requested). It is important to note that if you receive feedback and feel hopeful, you can start working on revisions early. The journal has a complex process, including independent and interactive reviews, similar to a forum where you communicate back and forth with the reviewers and make revisions repeatedly until it satisfies all the reviewers' preferences. The publication fee under Frontiers is quite expensive, so it is advisable to budget accordingly. In summary, the process is more cumbersome than regular journals, with two reviewers who are highly professional. The review speed is decent, but the impact factor of the new journal is unstable, currently at 4.1, an upgrade to Tier 2, and it is uncertain if it will decrease by the end of the year.
