First round of revisions on 30th June 2023, the opinions of the reviewers were mixed. There were a total of four reviewers, two of whom asked general questions, while the other two provided more professional and direct feedback. Altogether, more than fifty questions were raised by the reviewers, and one reviewer even requested additional experiments. It was difficult to respond within a month, so an extension of two weeks was requested from the Associate Editor.

Overall, the speed of this journal is acceptable, especially considering it is an Open Access journal. The quality of the reviewers was unexpected, and it was surprising to see a diverse range of reviewers contributing to a general journal. However, I would rate the journal's standards at around a level three journal. If you are not in a hurry, it may be best to avoid submitting to this journal since it has low impact and requires payment. But if you are in a rush to graduate and have some preliminary results on hand, this journal might be suitable

I'm not sure how long the journal review process takes. On August 10th, I received an email asking for help with the review. The author is from Chongqing University and their research field is also within my area of expertise. This manuscript seems to have been written three years ago, with data only up to 2016. I initially wanted the author to update the data and include additional tests, but I estimated that they would not make any changes. After checking, I found out that the author is a PhD student. In the spirit of accumulating good karma, I provided a major revision. On August 15th, I submitted the review comments, which included nine minor suggestions.
