This is a small niche journal with a low impact factor, mainly focusing on papers related to diabetes, metabolic diseases, and obesity. Manuscripts submitted at the end of March will start the external review process at the end of May. The journal requires two reviewers, but it wasn't until early July that the two reviewers were found. After that, the manuscript went to the editor, who decided a week later that revisions were needed. Authors were given 2-3 weeks to make revisions, with the option to request an extension by emailing the editorial department. The revised manuscript was sent back a little over a week later and was accepted after a few days.
