Cell Chemical Biology was renamed from the classic journal Chemistry&Biology in the Cell series. It suffered from the name change, and currently, it is temporarily listed in the second tier of the basic edition of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (without impact factor statistics in the first year). However, it will definitely become a top-tier journal in the future, and its impact factor is also increasing rapidly. After all, it is part of the Cell series. I hope to have the opportunity to be published there in the future.

The Cell series sub-journal Cell Chemical Biology, formerly known as Biochemistry, an old journal under Cell, is probably an attempt by the Cell series to establish a new sub-journal similar to Nature Chemical Biology. Its impact factor is currently rising rapidly, and it is expected to be on par with Nature Chem Bio in the future.

After the tragic rejection from Cell and Molecular Cell, the editor suggested submitting to Cell Reports or Cell Chemical Biology. In the end, it was decided to submit to Cell Chemical Biology. The editing and reviewing process was fast, and the editor's comments were very professional. After two minor revisions, the paper was accepted directly.
