Revision refers to modifying the response. In the submission and publication process of SCI journals, appropriate modifications are made in response to editor's letter, and the revised content is detailed in the reply to the editor, requesting a re-evaluation of the manuscript

Almost all freely-submitted manuscripts that meet the academic standards for publication require revisions from the authors in terms of their expression and formatting before being published, such as compressing the article, redesigning tables, improving the quality of illustrations, and limiting the use of irregular abbreviations. However, manuscripts returned to authors for revisions do not mean that the article has been accepted, as the final acceptance of the article depends on whether the author's modifications to the critical content and expression of the article meet the requirements of the peer reviewers and editors. 
Materials typically returned to authors for revisions include the original manuscript, reviewers' comments, and a covering letter from the editor. Upon receiving the revised manuscript, authors should carefully read the cover letter and reviewers' comments. They should then consider whether they can or are willing to accept the suggestions from the reviewers or editors and make revisions. The likelihood of the article being accepted can be inferred from the responses of the editor and reviewers to the revisions. Revisions should not be rushed; authors should carefully read and understand the reviewers' questions, respond to each reviewer's comments, specify the changes made in the revised manuscript (page, lines), and thank the editor for the suggested modifications while providing reasons for not making certain changes
