Multimodal communication is an effective and popular way to engage with interested parties concerning your research. Video abstracts are the most current, institutionalized format, but we’ve found scientists coming to us with requests for more diverse deliverables. As such, this service is designed to produce the same high-quality and engaging videos as the video abstract service, but in a more flexible format where you can specify the parameters and objectives of the project. Examples include, promotional videos for laboratory and university websites, explainer videos for showcase events and expos, educational videos for a wide variety of audiences, and marketing videos for tech and life science start-ups. You can even request a single animation to be used in manuscripts or presentations.
Our subject-matter experts and talented illustrators, animators, and voice actors will collaborate to provide you with a fully narrated and animated video that appeals to your specific audience. To increase the value, we’ll also include:
- separate audio and slide files for your project
- promotion of your video on our YouTube channel and via our social media initiatives
- a media guide for leveraging the animated video to promote your work and career
Price: Because of the unique nature of custom video production, pricing varies by project with a starting price around $400.
I needed a scientific animation video in a month. With just a 2-page storyboard, showing sample images and a narration, LetPub sent me a fast and reasonable quote without all the questions/answer back and forth that can make these engagements time intensive. Then they went to work, asked for more detail in the voice-over script and gave me the first version with a week to spare. We had plenty of time for edits, which they did quickly. Also, they took our marcom standards and implemented that wrapper perfectly to standards. I couldn’t be happier and look forward to working with Letpub again.
How it works
Disclaimer: Project duration is entirely dependent on length.
All members of the video abstract team are employees of LetPub bound by confidentiality agreements. LetPub will not publish or share your video without your explicit permission.
You should provide us with any and all materials that may assist in the creative process. Most importantly, provide a summary of the manner in which this video will be used, the intended audience and/or venue, and the objectives you have for using the video (e.g., securing seed-funding, animation for a conference presentation, etc.). Additional materials can include your manuscripts related to the pertinent material, prior press releases, plain language summaries, initial drafts of a storyboard, and images. Additionally, notes on pronunciations, particularly investigator names, are encouraged.
Absolutely. The inquiry form will allow you to specify any comments or requests for the project. Additionally, the Milestone Storyboard is sent to you by the 10-day mark so that you can approve the narration. While we ask clients to trust our team of editors and animators, if you have changes or errors in content that need to be reflected in the video, we will ensure that the appropriate modifications are made.
